This course focuses on the essential leadership and supervisory competencies required of today’s fire officer. Topics include leadership, supervision, communication, employee development, counseling, performance evaluations, conflict resolution, and human resource management principles.
Students will participate in scenario-based learning, operational leadership discussions, practical exercises, and competency-based assignments designed to strengthen real-world supervisory skills. Coursework will be aligned with Fire Officer certification task book requirements and professional officer development expectations.
